The Big Stitch Night

Our first Big Stitch Night at EAYF 2023 raised £667.10 for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices.

Thank you so much to all our attendees, and our wonderful vendors who donated prizes to enable us to make such an amazing amount for such a good cause.

The Big Stitch Night is back for 2024! This event will take place again at Glen Lodge Bawburgh on Friday 8th March at 7.30pm.

Join us at Glen Lodge, Bawburgh, just a few minutes drive from the showground arena on Friday 8th March 2024 for the big stitch night. Bring the knitting, crochet or stitchy project you’re enjoying the most, and stitch the night away with friends new and old!

This year The Big Stitch Night will be held in memory of the lovely Liv Spencer, the dyer behind The Wool Shed. Many of us in our community remember Liv very fondly and Liv was meant to vend with us in 2023 but sadly had to withdraw in the weeks before the show.

Liv passed away in June of 2023 at the age of 21.

With the blessing of Liv’s family and with the support of many of her fibre friends The Big Stitch Night 2024 will raise money for the charity Histio UK. Histio UK is a charity that fundraises to be able to deliver research and information programmes with an aim to work towards early diagnosis, effective treatment and a cure for Histiocytosis.

Liv’s lovely mum Sophie has carried on The Wool Shed in memory of her daughter, creating beautiful hand dyed yarn and often donating a percentage of the proceeds to Histio UK. If you’d like to check out The Wool Shed click here.

Your ticket price includes a mystery mini skein! We have sourced fingering weight 20g mini skeins from a selection of our wonderful vendors, these will be individually wrapped so that you get a mystery yarn surprise as you enter the stitch night! Keep your mini skein or swap with someone else!

The fun doesn’t end there! The Big Stitch Night will host the EAYF charity prize draw. In 2023 vendors donated an amazing selection of prizes making for an amazing odds raffle, with help from our incredibly generous vendors we hope to have an amazing raffle again this year.

We will also have a mini merch stand at the stitch night! You will get first pick of the EAYF 2024 merch for the weekend AND be the first to receive the 2024 show booklet!

Your entry price includes 1 ticket for the prize draw, further tickets will be available to purchase during the evening at the price of £1 each and every penny of that money will go to our chosen by you charity! Prizes are donated by our wonderful vendors and are amazing! Please bring cash to purchase prize draw tickets.

This is a ticketed event, tickets will be priced at £15 each and there is a limited number due to the venue so we cannot guarantee that any tickets will be left on the door on the night. Tickets include your entry to the event, a 20g mystery mini skein and 1 entry into the prize draw. £1 from every ticket price will go direct to charity. Tickets are non-refundable.
