When is EAYF 2024?

Saturday 9th March 2024 10.30am-5pm

Sunday 10th March 2024 10.30am-4.30pm

Where is EAYF 2024?

For our third year we will be back at the Norfolk Showground Arena, Dereham Road, NR5 0TP. There a multiple entrances onto showground property. The entrance you need to use to find the parking for the arena can be found opposite the Showground Premier Inn, Dereham Road, Norwich, NR5 0TP. This is Gate 01.

Tell us about your ticket options…

General entry tickets for the weekend are £12 per day and can be bought through the ticketing platform Ticket Source. Tickets are sold in timeslots. This helps us to control the flow of traffic into the show. Please be aware that in previous years multiple timeslots have sold out. On the day tickets will be available after 12, and we recommend buying your ticket in advance if you would like earlier entry. There is no option for a full weekend ticket.

There will be a deluxe ticket option for 2024, these will be very limited in number but allow entry without a timeslot and come with an amazing goodie bag that include items from multiple marvellous makers!

Do you offer concession tickets?

We don’t offer concession tickets. If you are a wheelchair user or have mobility issues and therefore will be bringing a carer to accompany you then they will be given free entry to the show. For the 2024 show you do not need to notify us that you will be bringing a carer. Just let the volunteers on the door know that your carer is with you for mobility purposes and they will be given free entry.
We recommend you purchase your tickets in advance as we cannot guarantee tickets will be available on the door on the weekend.
One free entry to a carer can be given per paying attendee and carer and attendee must enter the show together.

Do children need a ticket?

No, children under 15 do not need a ticket but must be accompanied by an adult ticket holder. You do not need to reserve them a space or register for children’s attendance in advance. Children must be supervised by their accompanying adults at all times.

Will I receive a paper ticket?

This year all our ticketing will be run through Ticket Source, an external ticketing company. You can select to receive a paper ticket through them if you wish, though this does come with an extra charge. Otherwise you will receive a downloadable ticket which you can opt to print yourself or present to us on a mobile device on the weekend.

Once your ticket has been scanned you will be offered the option to have your hand stamped so that you can exit and re-enter the show as much as you would like during the day. This is needed if you would like to visit the outdoor food vendors and then return to the show.

All tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged, please double check your ticket selection, the date and time before checking out as this CANNOT be changed once purchased.

I’m bringing a group to EAYF, do you do group discounts?

Yes! If you are looking to book 15 tickets or more then please use the contact form to contact us. For group bookings we can offer a discounted price. These are not processed through ticket source. All group tickets must be booked at least one week before the show and cannot be amended once purchased.

Is your venue accessible?

Yes, our marketplace is all on one level, there are ramps to the entrance of the building and from the main arena space to the arena teaching area. Our venue does have accessible toilets. We are offering time slots for entry to control the flow of visitors to the event and there will not be any background music playing in any of the marketplace rooms. We are recommending that anyone who struggles with crowds may prefer to choose a Sunday entry ticket as it is likely to be much quieter on the Sunday.

There are multiple seating areas at our event. A smaller seating area at one end of the marketplace and a larger seating area with tables at the far end of the arena. Our marketplace is large and we understand that not everyone is able to walk the aisles without a break.

All of our aisles are several metres wide. Whilst the show can become crowded, especially on a Saturday, our aisles are laid out to accommodate multiple people and wheelchairs at a time.

Can I pay by cash or card on the day?

The entry and merchandise booth for the festival will take both cash and card for the weekend and most vendors will do the same. There is not a cash machine on site.

Will there be food available at the venue?

Yes, inside the arena you can find Relish Cafe, selling sandwiches, salads, hot and cold drinks and more, as well as Amanda Jane’s Brownie Bakes.

Outside and opposite the entrance to the arena you will find multiple hot food vendors.

Will there be show guides?

Yes! Show guides are provided for free to attendees! Pick up a copy of our show guide as you enter the show and check out some of the extra features inside!

We have done our best to provide enough show guides for every attendee to take one as they enter the show. However these are subject to availability. The show guide will also be available on the website when the show opens.

Can I bring my dog?

Support and guide dogs of any kind are welcome at EAYF, please make sure your service dog is wearing their harness or lead identifying them as a support animal. All dogs must stay on the lead at all times and be under control. Please clean up after your dog, and make sure they are well supervised at all times.

Will there be an EAYF 2025?

Yes! Plans are already in the works for EAYF 2025.

Will there be classes and social events running in 2024?

Yes! We will be offering workshops and classes again in 2024. We will also be running the Big Stitch Night, a lovely way to kick off the weekend, which in 2023 raised over £500 for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices.

I want to book a class at EAYF but the entry timeslot to the marketplace to get there in time has already sold out!

Don’t worry! Go ahead and book the class you would like to attend and then purchase any timeslot for that day. Arrive in good time to get to your class and let the volunteers on the door know that you are attending a class. They will have the access to the class list and be able to scan your entrance ticket. Remember, there may be queues to enter the arena, so allow extra time to get to your class.

All classes in the arena teaching space can only be accessed through the arena. You will need an entrance ticket to be able to access your class. Your class will be at the far end of the arena, the full distance to the teaching space is approximately 100m so please leave enough time to get to your class.

You will need to enter the showground through gate 01 opposite the premier inn and the postcode for your satnav is NR5 0TP.

Will there be any competitions or make alongs at EAYF 2024?

Yes! This year we have another garment makealong! Our amazing social media followers nominated and voted for a variety of patterns and we now have a Makealong page on our site where you can find the details of this years knitting and crochet patterns.

Tell us about your COVID-19 precautions…

Here at EAYF we take COVID-19 very seriously. We have implemented time slots for entries throughout both days to try and control the flow of visitors. We will conform with all government guidelines in relation to events. Whilst we recognise that face coverings are no longer mandatory for event such as ours we fully support anyone who makes the decision to wear them.

Will you have podcaster lanyards available?

Yes! The amazing Martyn of the Knit365 youtube channel will be hosting the podcaster area for 2024!

If you are a podcaster that will be attending then please feel free to check out the podcaster page and fill out the podcaster application form. This must be done before the show weekend. Podcasters can collect their lanyards from behind the merchandise desk when they arrive.

What can I do if I have purchased tickets and can no longer attend?

Unfortunately we cannot offer refunds or exchanges on tickets, ticket sales are final. Please check the day and time you are booking before checking out to ensure you purchase your chosen time slot. If you can no longer attend then feel free to pass on your ticket to a friend!
